Senator Adams requested that the reconsideration on SENATE                     
JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 39 Proposing an amendment to the                          
Constitution of the State of Alaska to guarantee, in addition to the           
right of the people to keep and bear arms as approved by the voters            
at the time of ratification of the state Constitution, that the individual     
right to keep and bear arms shall not be denied or infringed by the            
state or a political subdivision of the state" be taken up.

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 39 was before the Senate on                        
reconsideration.                                                               
                                                                               
Senator Taylor Senator moved and asked unanimous consent that the              
Letter of Intent offered on page 3032 be adopted.  Objections were             
heard.                                                                         
                                                                               
The question being: "Shall the Letter of Intent be adopted?"  The
